On Friday 6 March, our Year 9 Latin students visited the Stardome where they experienced two special presentations on the Greek and Roman language and mythology used in astronomy.

They then returned to school and jumped straight into creating a news report about a new exoplanet which they had “discovered”.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for the boys to learn about the continuing use of Latin and its relevance to the modern world, as well as increasing their knowledge of classical mythology,” says Mr John Jackson (Teacher in Charge of Latin)
