An engaging speaker, Bryan shared the importance of work ethic and motivation, sharing his life story and business success. He encouraged the students to consider a career in the retail industry, one which strongly revolves around cooperation, creating strong relationships and people skills.
Bryan touched on resilience and “hustle”, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which hugely impacted both his store and the other retail businesses. Bryan jumped on his orange Nike bike, delivering shoes door-to-door to customers, effectively overcoming the lockdown struggle.
In addition, Bryan was generous enough to donate two pairs of Nike shoes which we incorporated into a $2 raffle giveaway. Raising over $500, the lucky winners Lexi Eddington-Smith and Rory Van Riele were able to donate this money to a charity of their choice, The Child Cancer Foundation. It was an amazing opportunity for the King’s students and we appreciate his motivating, inspiring and humorous talk.
