In a lively and full Holy Trinity Cathedral, the King’s community gathered to celebrate the student successes of 2020.

Our attendees’ gratefulness to be able to gather was palpable, and acknowledged by our guest speaker, Headmaster and Head Boy and Head Girl alike.

The ceremony was opened with a mihi whakatau from Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

The special guest address, delivered by The Very Reverend Anne Mills, reminded attendees of the importance of considering the other before the self – no more evident than this year, considering what New Zealand’s team of five million was able to achieve when looking out for one another.

With items from the Symphony Orchestra and Choir, Premier Concert Band and School House (performing their winning item from Small House Music), two stirring haka and a rousing rendition of Carmen Regale, the guests filled the cathedral with song.

Congratulations to all of our prize winners, particularly the winner of the College’s highest honour, Dux: Nathaniel Masfen-Yan (Year 13, Greenbank).
