The King's Music Department headed down to Tauranga to compete against 600 students from across the country in the National Jazz Competition. This was the Music Department's first time competing in this contest and it was definitely a success!
We are proud to announce the Year 10 Comobo 'Spanner in the Wurx' have won a Gold award as well as the Articul8 combo. The Little Big Band have won a silver award and our very own Ted Coop (Year 10, Averill) was crowned Best Saxophone in New Zealand.
Furthermore, the College's two choirs, All the King's Men and the Chamber Choir, have been selected to compete at National's for the Big Sing - another great accomplishment for the King's Music community.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the National Jazz Competition and the Big Sing, the College congratulates you on these amazing achievements.
