The Hockey teams have posted some promising results so far with all of the teams demonstrating a steady improvement in the quality of their play as the season progresses.

Hockey Boys

The Boys' and Girls' First XI have both struggled to maintain consistency in the level of their performances each week. This has hurt their chances in terms of success in the Auckland competitions. The Boys' First XI went in to the Auckland Grammar shield match as favourites.

On the day they filed to convert multiple chances and went down in a 1-2 loss. Last week however, in the return match in the Super City Competition, in a clinical display King’s absolutely dominated the same Grammar team to run out comfortable 5-2 winners.

However, both teams and their respective coaches will have one eye on National Tournament week with the Rankin and Fed Cup’s up for grabs.

Across the other teams there have been some good results. Whilst it is still early in their competitions the boys' Second and Third XIs are both well placed and should be in the mix for a top two finish. Similarly the Girls' Second XI has made a strong start with one win and one draw.  In the U15s the A team sit in second on the table just 1 point behind the leaders, whilst the B team have been improving each week and making it tough for their opponents.
