Head Coach Mark Kennelly addressed the crowd, noting that not only is the event an opportunity for the players to receive their jerseys, but also for the team to meet, recognise and thank their generous sponsors.
John Bayley (Parnell, 1962-66) accepted a gift on behalf of Bayleys Real Estate, Michael Giltrap (Selwyn, 1989-92) on behalf of Land Rover and Archibald and Shorter, and Fiona Reeves on behalf of SRG Radiology.
The boys listened to an inspiring Q+A with special guests Dean Budd, who captained Italy at the last Rugby World Cup, and capped All Black Daniel Braid (Greenbank/Parnell 1997-99), who also captained both the Auckland Blues and provincial teams.
