Friday 02 August 2019

All Parents and Guardians are invited to attend our annual Subject Options evening at the beginning of Term 3.

This will be an opportunity to talk to the Heads of Departments of all subjects, the Careers Director – Mr Riki Apa, and Head of Learning Support – Mr David Ward. Mr Geoff Smith will speak at 6pm in the Lecture Theatre on guidelines for selecting courses of study and dual qualification pathways.

Time: 4.30pm to 6.30pm

Venue: Great Hall, King's College

Towards the end of Term 2, you will have received a copy of the Courses of Study Guide for 2020. We recommend you read through this guide to assist with the preparation for subject selection. The online course enrolment period will be open from the 29 July – 16 August 2019 (the first three weeks of Term 3). We would encourage students and parents to begin research and planning to help identify the subjects they wish to enrol in for 2020.

Once subject enrolments have been completed on 16 August 2019, the process of planning classes and staffing will begin. This planning is based on the enrolments received and so it is important that students make carefully considered choices as the ability to make subject changes once the timetable has been created can be limited.

If you have any questions in regard to the subject options process, please do not hesitate to contact Geoff Smith.
