It was the first time that New Zealand had won the Trophy for seven years.
Daniel performed well and won a gold medal in the Under 15 Three Person Mixed team and a silver medal in the Under 15 Boys Recurve.
Daniel’s team prevailed in the U15 match play Elimination competition which went to a one arrow shoot off tie breaker and was narrowly won by New Zealand.
After the event, Daniel travelled to Taiwan to compete with with 85 other school age archers in the Taichung Mayors Cup.
Daniel also competed in the St Peter's College Invitational Cup over the weekend at Auckland Archery Club, where he took the gold medal for highest overall recurve archery score.
The next major event for Daniel is the NZ Indoor National championships later this year.
