Our AS Media Studies students recently took their learning on location to the North Head Tunnels in Devonport, where they spent the day creating their own thriller opening sequences.
Working in production teams, students combined creativity with technical skill, developing scripts, planning storyboards, and using cinematography, lighting, props, and costumes to craft suspenseful, engaging scenes. The tunnels provided the perfect atmospheric backdrop, challenging students to think on their feet and adapt their ideas in a real-world setting.
Back at school, the focus has shifted to post-production. Students are now editing their footage and enhancing their films through sound mixing, colour grading, and graphics.
