The Art Sale opening night kicked the three day event off in style, with more than 500 people attending the function in the new covered tennis court.
Headmaster Simon Lamb and President of the Friends Association David Moore addressed the crowd of artists and art lovers, paying tribute to the Head of the Art Sale committee Rachael McLaren, her army of volunteers and the event’s generous sponsors.
“Rachael and her team of over 50 volunteers have spent the best part of this year finding artists, convincing them to showcase their art here, and putting together a hugely professional show,” Mr Moore said.
Rachael also speaks highly of the effort involved in creating the event.
“Thank you to the large team of volunteers in the Art Sale Committee, the sponsors, staff and supporters for their generous contribution of time, enthusiasm and resources. “It is an enormous team effort and the Committee are very proud to present such a successful and popular event.”
