Following the popularity and success of our inaugural Parent Day last year, this will be another opportunity for current parents to come to school, like a student, and experience a day on campus. With lunch in the Dining Hall, a Chapel Service and a chance to hear from experts in the arena of teenagers and education.
Attendees will have the option to join us for the morning, the afternoon, or the full day.

Please note this year’s Parent Day will follow the same format as last year, with similar content. Parents who attended for a half-day last year may wish to come again to complete the experience. Parents who attended a full day last year are more than welcome to come again but should be aware that the information sessions will be the same as last year.
Morning: 8.05am – 1.30pm
- Chapel Service
- Choice of 2 of the following: E-learning, screen time and social media; Wellbeing, resilience and mental fitness; The mysteries of NCEA and CIE explained; or Life after King’s (careers, universities and internships)
- Morning Tea
- Choice of Back to school – create something in the Technology Department or Back to school – visit departments and take part in a variety of different lessons, seeing best practice teaching in action
- Lunch in the Dining Hall
Afternoon: 1.15pm – 3.45pm
- Choice of 2 of the following: E-learning, screen time and social media; Wellbeing, resilience and mental fitness; The mysteries of NCEA and CIE explained; or Life after King’s (careers, universities and internships)
- Afternoon Tea and Q+A with the Deputy Heads
Full Day: 8.05am – 3.45pm
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend all sessions, including a Chapel Service, Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea.
