The King's College Foundation is the vehicle providing financial security for the future of the school. Its goal is to create a substantial financial base to ensure the ongoing independence of King's.
Created in 1980 to address the potential loss of 'state aid' (to private schools) and integration of private schools with the state school sector, it has changed focus over the years but remains dedicated to financially supporting the College, its endeavours, and its independence. The Foundation is also able to provide scholarships to students who would benefit from a King’s education as well as fund other projects and purchase resources that support the ongoing provision of excellence in education.
The Foundation has now launched Foundation for Families, a new initiative to enable our families to give over time and assist in funding current building projects. The first of which is a classroom refurbishment and upgrade to be completed for 2026. These developments will make a real difference to your child’s time at King’s College, as well as creating the very best learning environment for current and future students. By making this commitment, your family’s connection to the College becomes stronger and more meaningful. Membership continues even after you close your time at at the College and your pledge is completed, further strengthening your connection to the King’s community.
