Held at Bruce Pullman Park in Takanini, our Senior Boys' Rugby League team played across two days at the 2026 New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship in the Cup Division.

Day One
After a very wet and windy day at Bruce Pullman Park, the team came away with two wins:
Game One
Try scorers Ruan Tahi (Year 11, St John's), Leo Kirkland (Year 13, Selwyn) (2), Ollie Anderson (Year 12, Greenbank) (with a Dallin Watene-Zelezniak style in the corner), Robbie Tahi (Year 11, St John's) (2), and wonderful conversion kicking by Ricoh Wilson (Year 12, Greenbank).
Final score: King's 38 vs 12 Avondale College
Game Two
In the 39th minute, a try scored by Ruan Tahi was converted by Ricoh Wilson.
Final score: King's 6 vs 0 Western Heights High School
Day Two
Game Three: Quarter-Final
Two tries scored by Ollie Anderson on the wing, another by Leo Kirkland.
Final score: King's 14 vs 4 Westlake Boys' High School
Game Four: Semi-Final
Unfortunately the South Island side came out swinging to win the first half, and while we answered with tries by Ollie Anderson, Leo Kirkland, and Josh Leighton (Year 12, School) we couldn't bring it home with fatigue and injuries setting in.
