Held at the Beta Climbing Gym in New Plymouth, we had one student from King's compete in the 2026 NZSS Climbing Cup — coming away with some incredible results!
The NZ Secondary Schools Climbing Cup is the national bouldering competition for New Zealand secondary school students.
Climbers compete for individual category honours. Schools compete for the Top School title, and every climber’s results count towards their school’s total, whether or not they’re on an official school team.
Congratulations to Daniel Zhu (Year 10, Selwyn) who did exceptionally well in the Junior Boys' category, placing third in New Zealand while also being awarded the Top Boys' School through solo representation!
