Held at King's College, our 1st and 2nd XV Rugby teams played one day each across two days at the 2026 Independent Schools Rugby Competition.

Day One
The first day was wet with rain coming down throughout the games and a strong wind. King's College 2nd XV played St Andrew's College 2nd XV, as the St Andrew's 1st XV had qualified for the NZSS Top 4. After being behind at half-time, the King's 2nd XV found a second wind in the final half and eventually won the game!
Final score: King's 2XV 31 vs 24 St Andrew's College 2XV
Day Two
What a game it was between Christ's College 1st XV and the King's College 1st XV. Attacks were going back and forth between each team with good rugby and they could not be separated at the end, with a 38-38 all draw to finish the tournament off.
A great couple of days of rugby with all students enjoying having an extra couple of games to finish their school season.
