Touch Team vs Grammar March 26

Premier Touch Team Win Against Auckland Grammar School

Thursday 5 March 2026

A supportive side-line crowd helped to motivate and energise our Premier Touch Team to win against tough opponents Auckland Grammar School on Monday night with the final score ending up 6-4 after a hard fought second half.

At half-time the score was 3-3 - an accurate reflection of the abilities of the two teams and the game. The second half was equally tight, but King's were able to take opportunities with a dominant middle pairing of Ruka Smythe (Year 13, Parnell) and Felix Spary (Year 13, Selwyn) that created tries for Naki Kea-Cameron (Year 11, Selwyn), Robbie Dunn (Year 12, Marsden) and Felix himself.

While still only round-robin, King’s are now looking at the top spot moving into the semi finals in two weeks time. Thank you to Groundskeeper Jamie Jenson for the quality of the field and marking – without doubt the best in the region!
