In January, Sofia Gong (Year 13, Marion Bruce) had the privilege of attending the Teapot Valley Choral Camp, where she was awarded a scholarship and a soloist feature in Only in Sleep by Ēriks Ešenvalds.
She worked under the direction of world-renowned conductor Ebbe Munk, who recently retired as the conductor of the Royal Copenhagen Boys' Choir, and collaborated with esteemed vocal coach Judy Bellingham and acclaimed accompanist and conductor Jeremy Woodside.
She also had the opportunity to sing alongside internationally celebrated artists, including Moses Mackay and Rebecca Ryan. This was a transformative experience, allowing her to grow as a soloist, gain valuable mentorship, and perform alongside some of the finest musicians in the choral world.
