Grandparents’ Day
Celebrating my first Grandparents’ Day at the school was a truly memorable experience, made even more vibrant by falling on St Patrick’s Day. The festivities began in the Chapel with a beautiful service, featuring a spirited Irish dancing performance that set a wonderful tone for the day. Following a spectacular showcase by All The King’s Horses in the Great Hall, families gathered to share a bite to eat and were then helped by the students to explore the campus. It was a privilege to witness the deep, reciprocal pride between our students and their grandparents; seeing that shared interest in our school’s education is heartening. My sincere thanks to everyone who attended and made this such a warm introduction to a great occasion.
Round Square Week
This week, we were proud to celebrate our membership in the Round Square network - a global community of 250 schools established 60 years ago, which was inspired by the educational philosophy of Dr Kurt Hahn. Through a series of engaging activities, our students explored the core pillars of character education, experiential learning and international understanding. It is inspiring to see our community embrace these global values, and I am eager to build on this momentum. Looking ahead, we hope to establish meaningful educational exchanges with like-minded Round Square schools, offering our students even greater opportunities to connect globally.
Finally, good luck to our students who are performing at ASB Polyfest today, next week we are looking forward to our Glee Club performance of Mamma Mia.
