Girls Touch First Games of the Season

Girls Touch Team - An Incredible Debut Season

Wednesday 4 March 2026

The King's Girls Touch Team finished their season in style on Tuesday night!  The team completed pool play undefeated, highlighted by a dominant 7–0 win over St Mary’s College.

Momentum was high heading into the final against Baradene College of the Scared Heart and although the pressure was high, the girls showed immense heart and resilience throughout the match. Despite the team losing 5-0 in the final, they never stopped fighting.

During the short season, they pushed through injuries, sore bodies (maybe a few too many lollies) and the challenge of losing some very talented players along the way. With only three trainings, team changes and having to manage busy schedules, the commitment and effort shown by this group over the last few weeks has been outstanding.

This debut season was about more than just the scoreboard. It was about empowering girls at King’s, building confidence and providing opportunities to experience and succeed in different sports. The girls backed themselves, supported one another and represented the College with pride every time they stepped on the touch field.

The team should be incredibly proud of what they achieved because we couldn’t be prouder. There’s no doubt this season is only the beginning - the future is incredibly bright from here.
