To round off a successful sporting weekend for the College, the First XI picked up two important wins against Sacred Heart College on Thursday and Saint Kentigern on Saturday.

Result: King’s First XI win by 3 wickets
At the end of Term 1, the First XI sit third on the ladder with 5 games remaining, which will be played in Term 4, so all to play for later on in the year.
Old Collegian Success
On another positive note, former King's College First XI player Muhammed Abbas made his Black Caps one-day International debut on Saturday, entering the record books by smashing the fastest half century on debut.
Mark Chapman, another former King's First XI player, struck 132 off 111 balls, as the Black Caps beat Pakistan by 73 runs down in Napier.
