College Sport Golf Strokeplay Competition

Thursday 3 April 2025

Over two days of intense competition, Auckland’s top young golfers showcased their skills at the prestigious 36-hole College Sport Strokeplay Competition, held at Clark’s Beach and Windross Farm golf clubs.

The tournament saw some incredible performances from our students. Ryan Xie (Year 13, Averill) finished tied for first at 3-under-par after two rounds. In a heart breaking turn, he missed out on the overall title due to countback, despite sinking a spectacular putt on the final hole as the sun set.

Ryan's gross score of 140 was just one shot ahead of Will Thompson (Year 12, Marsden), who also delivered an outstanding performance.

George Lewis (Year 12, Parnell) secured second place in the nett competition with an impressive score of 140.

Finn Driscoll (Year 12, Parnell) put in a strong showing, finishing in 7th place, while Cassie Luo (Year 11, Marion Bruce) secured a well-earned 9th place.

Congratulations to all our golfers on an excellent tournament – we had a record 12 students making the cut for the competition!
