Rowing Awards Dinner 2026

Celebrating our Rowers for their Historic Season

Tuesday 12 May 2026

On Friday night last week we hosted our annual Rowing Awards where we celebrated an incredible season of King's Rowing. During the 2025/2026 season, our rowers won 38 medals across the three major regattas, two junior national titles and the shared top schools status at the North Island Secondary Schools as well as winning the Maadi Cup Boys U18 8+ for the first time in 66 years.

Taking home the Maadi Cup after last winning it 1960 was a truly historic achievement, especially having a second Eight in the A Final who placed 6th, showing the talent and depth in our wider squad. During the Maadi Regatta we also won the Springbok Shield and 10 medals - our Rowing Awards Dinner was an opportunity to celebrate this outstanding season on the water.

But this season was defined by more than results; it was the result of hard work and determination of a group who believed in what they could achieve together. The evening brought together our rowing students, coaches, staff, families and supporters to recognise the dedication behind one of the most significant moments in the programme’s history - not only celebrating the rowers but the support crew behind them.
