Thursday 14 August 2025
From 4–8 August, we celebrated International Languages Week with a packed programme of activities highlighting the value and fun of learning languages. The campus was alive with French pastries, themed lunches, national flags on the flagpole, and a healthy dose of competition throughout the week.
Students and staff took part in language-themed games, quizzes, and films, enjoyed inspiring panel talks, and even tried their hands at cooking and escape room activities in class. Chapel services included French, Chinese, and Spanish, while the Find the Teacher Challenge kept everyone on the lookout for staff sporting 'secret language' badges.
The week brought together our school community in a celebration of cultural diversity and global connection. From music and film to food and friendly rivalry, International Languages Week reminded us that learning a language isn’t just about words; it’s about opening doors to new experiences, friendships, and opportunities around the world.
A huge thank you to all the staff members and students who got involved to make this week such a success!
