Netball Quad award

A Weekend of Netball, Growth and Team Spirit

Wednesday 30 July 2025

This year’s Netball Development Quad Festival was hosted by St Peter’s College in Cambridge and provided an invaluable opportunity for our girls to grow, both individually and as a team. The focus of the festival was on developing core netball skills and learning how to adapt to different styles of play across various opponents.

Our team was a talented mix of players from the Premier 2, Senior A, and primarily the Premier Development squads. While many of our players are only in Year 11 and newer to this level of competition, they showed remarkable courage and determination when matched against well-established teams who have played together over several years.

Throughout the festival, the girls demonstrated resilience and a willingness to learn. They were tested by opponents who displayed structured and adaptable gameplay, offering a valuable learning experience. Every game helped refine our strategies and highlighted areas for growth. More importantly, the team’s camaraderie flourished, and their on-court connection strengthened with each match.

Match Results:

  • vs St Peter’s College – 20–38
  • vs Scots College – 25–36
  • vs St Paul’s Collegiate – 14–38
  • Final placing game vs Scots College – 20–33

The highlight of the tournament came at the prizegiving, where our team was honoured with the Manawanui Quad Festival Trophy - a prestigious recognition for the team that played with outstanding spirit, heart, and sportsmanship. This award is a testament to the character and attitude our players brought to the court. We are proud of their efforts and excited for what lies ahead as they continue to grow in their netball journey.
