The Rowing Supporters Club aims to:
- Connect the past and present rowing community
- Fund new boats and equipment
- Ensure the sport’s long-term success at King’s College.
Rowing has a rich legacy at King’s, fostering teamwork, discipline, and dedication, key components of a well-rounded education. The club is proud of its rowers competing internationally, with three Old Collegians, Oliver Maclean (Selwyn, 2012–16) Olympic Silver medalist, Daniel Williamson (Averill, 2016–17) and Alana Sherman (Taylor, 2015–16), competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
A History-making Season
For our current students, the 2025–26 rowing season has been an exceptional and history-making one - during the season, our rowers won 38 medals across the three major regattas, two junior national titles and the shared top schools status at the North Island Secondary Schools as well as winning the Maadi Cup Boys U18 8+ for the first time in 66 years.
Taking home the Maadi Cup after last winning it in 1960 was a truly historic achievement, especially having a second Eight in the A Final who placed 6th - showing the talent and depth in our wider squad. During the Maadi Regatta we also won the Springbok Shield and 10 other medals These successes are a testament to Head of Rowing Mark Clemo, his coaching team, our rowers, and our dedicated supporters.
Joining the King’s College Rowing Supporter’s Club
The King’s College Rowing Club is launching a focused fundraising campaign to purchase new boats and equipment.
