Nurses - casual employment
Whakaora Cottage, our Medical Centre located between School House and Greenbank House, offers a 24-hour, 7-day a week service for boarding students and the care of day students during College hours.
We are currently seeking experienced, registered nurses seeking to join the team on a casual basis. Nurses act as both health advocates and competent practitioners and are expected to support and uphold the aims and policies of King’s College through example, attitude and a genuine interest in its activities.
HOURS OF WORK
Nurses will be required to work shifts (including night shift), as suits the needs of the College.
Medical Centre services are provided 24/7 and a variety of rostered options may be required to provide full coverage.
Nurses should: Be registered with the Nursing Council (NZ) as a Registered Nurse
Hold a current First Aid Certificate
Hold a current driver’s licence and safe driving record;
Have effective communication, listening and organisation skills
Have a good understanding and tolerance of teenagers and preferably have experience of working with teenagers in a community setting
