The First XV played its traditional annual fixture against Otago Boys’ High School on Saturday on a dry field under brilliant sunlight (a typical Dunedin day).

The team scored early and lead 19-7 at half time.

They kept piling on the pressure and points to eventually win the game 41-19.

The current preseason touring party is 24 players strong. All played in this game which meant 13 boys made their debut for the team.

Francis Manuleleua (Year 12, Peart) was also capped for playing his 14th game for the team.

The team also took the opportunity to visit High Performance Sport New Zealand and the Highlanders base.

The team met Old Collegian and Highlander Teariki Ben-Nicholas (Selwyn, 2009-13), who spoke to them about his days at King's and the commitment and sacrifice involved in being a professional athlete.
