The purpose of the raffle was to raise funds for the purchase of a new Hudson Super Predator Eight.
The draw was done by Old Collegian, Peter Masfen, who has been a major supporter of the College over the years, and on this occasion had generously offered to match our boat fundraising efforts on a dollar for dollar basis.
Purchasers of the raffle tickets elected to be in one of three possible prize draws. The winners of the three draws were:
- Prize Draw 1 - Tessa Bennett
- Prize Draw 2 - Kate McCallum
- Prize Draw 3 - James Duanmu
Congratulations to all the lucky winners, and thank you to all those who supported this fundraising initiative.
After the assembly the senior rowers met with Peter Masfen to express their gratitude in person and the Rowing Committee had their opportunity to thank Peter at a morning tea in the staff dining room.
At that morning tea, retiring committee member, Bel Lee, was thanked for her tireless efforts in driving King's College Rowing's fundraising efforts over the past two seasons.
