Education Manager Genaro Oliveira showed the students around the historic building and  introduced them to new aspects of the collection. Of particular interest was the exhibition Here, Now, Then and Always, which contained a extensive body of photography held by the Trust.

The collection, accumulated by Old Collegian and Arts Centre Director Sir James Wallace (1951-1955, School) over several decades, is made up of many photographic works, across different mediums and periods. Students completed individual analysis projects on each individual works.

Head of Visual Art and Design Chas Foxall says the students and the department are particularly grateful to Sir James Wallace and his generosity.

“The King’s College Art Department has for a long period of time had a special relationship  with Old Collegian Sir James Wallace, who generously loans many works from his collectation that can be seen displayed around the College.”
