Matheson competed in the Auckland Championship for Men’s Intermediate Recurve Archery. After a long and hard competition he won first place, a senior title.
Matheson also competed for the title of Black Belt in Karate on Sunday 31 July.
After 4.5 hours of vigorous grading that included 1,000 different styles of push-ups he upgraded to Nidan which is 2nd Dan, Black Belt, the youngest in their style.
