He placed second in both the Tauranga and Roturua Inter-school Motocross competitions.
Ward says he is proud of his achievements, especially in the Tauranga competition, as he had never ridden the track before.
“I am happy that the many things that could have gone wrong, didn’t and that consistency paid off,” says Ward.
Ward trained vigorously for both events, dedicating most weekends to the sport.
“Most of my weekends are devoted to motocross and training also during the week,” says Ward.
