On Thursday, 7 May a group of King's College senior students visited the Maidment Theatre to watch Auckland Theatre Company’s A Doll’s House, which is an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic by Emily Perkins.

Set somewhere in modern day New Zealand, the play revolves around a seemingly happy family, but one with deadly secrets.

Held every year for seniors at the College, Theatre Club is a chance to experience a different side of Auckland City. Students go on a Thursday evening to view the plays at an Auckland theatre, usually the Maidment Theatre or Q Theatre. Over the course of the year, students will see all of the plays performed by Auckland Theatre Company.

Theatre Club is a fantastic way to see the cultural entertainment that Auckland can provide, offering an education quite different to that of the classroom.
