These were full days of fun and skill building, which focused on developing a wider understanding of how people respond with conflict, while also giving skills to help bring about peaceful resolution.
“Specifically, skills about rapport building, active listening and empathetic communication skills were taught,” says King’s College Counsellor Karen Thompson.
“They also discussed procedures to manage conflict situations and the '5 Magic Questions' which identify student reactions to conflict, what they need to resolve it and how they can contribute to solving the problem.”
The training sessions were both positive and productive, improving relationships within the student body.
