Made up of 15 selected musicians from the College, the band are quoted by local Mercury Bay newspaper, The Informer, to have received a very warm welcome from crowds at two different venues.

The band played at both Grace O’Malley’s and The Lost Spring in Whitianga, entertaining a relaxed audience with a mix of older material as well as newer reggae influenced pieces.

Commended for their great stage presence, the main vocalists included new Head Girl for 2018 Harriet Butt (Year 13, Taylor), Rico Ashmore (Year 10, Marsden) and recent Old Collegian Cameron Mataira (Selwyn, 2013-2017).

A highlight of the tour was having Technology teacher and mentor Gary Burton join the students on stage for a performance of “Minnie the Moocher”.
