Students were required to work on demonstrating and evaluating self management strategies in a range of outdoor activities as part of their NCEA assessment.
The students spent day one of the camp at the Waitomo Caves taking part in a variety of activities including caving and rafting in the glow worm caves. This was followed by several days in Rotorua, mountain biking and luging.
Teacher in Charge, Alexandra Smith says this was another amazing camp with our 11 Outdoor Education students.
“All students demonstrated a range of self-management strategies while caving and rafting in Waitomo, mountain biking in the Whakarewarewa Forest, and luging in Rotorua.”
“Camp was an exiting and enjoyable experience where I tried new things and learnt a lot. Mountain biking was the highlight of my camping experience,” says Olly Shera (Year 11, School).
