On Saturday 28 October 12 students represented King’s College at a very momentous service to mark the completion and consecration of the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral in Parnell.

Consecration

Our Senior Chaplain Reverend Warren Watson was pleased with the running of the day and said it was a special moment for the College to be a part of.

King’s students assisted with the welcoming and seating of the congregation and the distribution of communion.

The Anglican Holy Trinity Cathedral sits on land purchased by Bishop George Selwyn in 1843 and seeks to translate the Bishop’s original vision for a center of educational, charitable and missionary work.

“The Cathedral seeks to be a place and space that is hospitable, welcoming and community focused,” says the Very Reverend Anne Mills, Dean of the Cathedral and King’s College Board member.
