Tuesday 10 February 2015

Over the long weekend, four of the King's cricket teams were in action. All of them found scoring runs difficult and this put our bowlers under pressure.

Congratulations to the 2nd XI who managed to beat the Kristin College First XI, in spite of scoring only 94 runs. Special mention to Marcus Gerbich-Pais who took 4 wickets for 2 runs as Kristin was bowled out for 52, handing King's an unlikely 42 run victory.

The First XI had a disappointing loss against Saint Kentigern College and will be looking to redeem themselves this weekend.

Congratulations to Francesco Hazelwood who made a great start to his wakeboarding season by winning the New Zealand Cable competition. In a series of three tows, Francesco won all three to take the overall New Zealand Junior Boys' Under-18s title. He also won the Black Paddocks Cable V Wake competition, winning the Cable division and coming 2nd in the Wake Under-18s.
