On Friday, 8 April our annual Runathon took place. On that sunny afternoon approximately 500 students, resplendent in their Runathon singlets, along with a few staff, took to the athletics track to raise money for St John and the Kiwi Can Trust.
It was a very festive occasion with bands playing and a sausage sizzle doing a brisk trade.
Congratulations to Seb Wharton, who ran an incredible 100 laps, and to Anna Peat, who ran 50 laps. They took out the prizes for the most laps run by a boy and a girl. Sponsorship money is still being counted but we expect to raise close to $10,000.
I would like to acknowledge The Friends who once again provided sponsorship for this highlight in our Chapel calendar.
