Students visited White Island in the Bay of Plenty, with many commenting on what an extraordinary experience it was and how they never would have had the chance to see anything like it in their own country.

“We were thrilled with the amount we were able to do and the variety of activities,” says international student Best Sespattanachai (Year 13, Selwyn)

The students also visited the Gold Discovery Centre and the Waihi Gold Mine, and cycled along the Karangahake Gorge Cycle Track, part of the Hauraki Rail Trail.
