This year 20 countries took part in the Championships, held from 23 to 30 July. Oliver gained 13th place in Junior Fencing (under 20), which was the highest ranking among the NZ men’s foil fencers.
No stranger to international competitions, Oliver also represented New Zealand in Australian Cadet National Fencing Champions in Sydney from the 11 to 15 July.
