Tim Southee

BLACKCAPS fast bowler Tim Southee is confident in the strength of his team as Saturday approaches.

This weekend, when the BLACKCAPS face Sri Lanka, the King’s College community can cheer with special pride as we watch Old Collegian Tim Southee play for New Zealand.

“I can sense the excitement around the team. It’s been in the back of the mind for a long time now and we can’t wait to get underway,” said Tim this week.

King's won the Gillette Cup in 2004 and again in 2006. Southee was the star of a very strong team during his time at the College.

Southee said that he and all 15 players are itching to get underway and admits that the team just want the action to begin.

Go well Tim and best of luck from everyone at King’s.
