King’s Premier team beat Mount Roskill Grammar School 28-22
The King’s Premier team matched their very physical opposition to reverse the result of their disappointing loss in the grading rounds. They led throughout the match and finished strongly to register a six goal win. In the defensive end, captain Ema Lees was in great form - taking five clean intercepts, which the mid-court, led by Molly Farrant, swiftly turned back into attack. Both Caitlin Treacy, and her injury replacement Taylor Morgan, ensured these opportunities were converted in goals.
King’s Team Two (Black) drew with St Mary’s College 22-22
As the score suggests, this was a very close game where the score see-sawed across the four quarters. King’s was up by three at half-time, down two in the third quarter, but came back strongly to very nearly snatch a win. It was a great team effort with honours being shared by all players across the court.
King’s Team Three (Blue) lost to Epsom Girls' Grammar School 23-10
King's Team Three (Blue) struggled against Epsom Girls' Grammar School and their very accurate shooters, eventually going down 23-10. Corina Hall took a number of valuable intercepts in defence while Lucy Rasmussen played an energetic and aggressive mid-court role.
