As a result of Natasha's strong performances at the Classic Athletics Tour Meets, held in Hastings, Wanganui, Wellington and Hamilton, where she set new personal bests in both the 100m and 200m sprints, she has been selected for the Senior Women’s Sprint Double event and the New Zealand Relay Squad.
Natasha has also been training extensively as a member of the New Zealand Youth Sprint Relay Squad, which qualified for the World Youth Games.
This selection also follows on from Natasha's recent successes at the Auckland Senior Athletics Championship, at which she received Gold in Women's Under-20 100m, 200m and javelin.
Along with the Oceania Regional Championships, held from 7-9 April, Natasha will also be competing in the New Zealand Nationals in Dunedin (4-5 March), at which she will be representing the Auckland Senior Track and Field Team; the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Perth (8-13 March); and, potentially, the Canadian Combined Events (11-12 June).
Well done Natasha on these amazing achievements. We wish you all the best for your upcoming competitions.
