The team won back-to-back games, securing their victory over St. Peter’s with a 10-6 win, Sacred Heart in a 9-5 win and Westlake Boys with a close 8-7 win. Josh Fenton’s (Year 13, Selwyn) airtight defense with strong blocks helped deny any crucial shots from Westlake. Ethan Watson (Year 13, School) created powerful momentum on attack to earn some big fouls and score nice goals while assisting others to score with precise passing. Min Chan Kim (Year 13, Peart) made some extraordinary steals to bring the ball back into King’s control.

After an enormous effort during the Auckland competition, King’s Premier Waterpolo team earned sixth place at the North Island’s competition. The boys took their losses resiliently after some tough matches against Tauranga Boys High School and Rangitoto College. Later in the tournament, our water polo team pushed hard for a win against old rivals St. Kentigern College to earn their spot in the 5th place match. After a difficult game against Sacred Heart, the King’s Waterpolo team earned sixth place overall with a 10-15 loss.

Congratulations to the King’s Premier Waterpolo team for their stellar performance and resilience during both the North Island’s Competition and the Auckland Division 1 League.
