On Friday, 10 June, the Premier King’s debating team, consisting of Geneva Roy, Michael Daya-Winterbottom and Kate Prebble, debated against a team from Christ’s College in the 60th annual King’s/Christ’s debate.

King’s negated the moot that 'incentive payments should be given to beneficiaries whose children perform well at school'.

After what adjudicator Hamish Saunders said was “the closest King’s/Christ’s debate” he had ever seen, King’s unfortunately was pronounced defeated by what was a strong Christ’s debating team.

A special mention and thank you to d’Lainee Noonan-Brown for chairing the debate and also to Reverend Murray Bean for mentoring the King’s team and organising the event.
