Students Oliver Van Camp (Marsden), Jacob Robinson (St John’s), Andre Duurentijdt (Marsden) and Robin Atwal (Marsden), under the guidance and tutoring of Captain George Booth (NZ Coastguard tutor), achieved their certificates ,which gain them four credits towards the Level 2 NCEA pathway.
Head of Learning Support and Teacher in ChargeDavid Ward says the success is testament to the students’ positive attitudes and willingness to learn.
“Captain Booth was very complimentary and impressed with the students attitude and interest,” says David.
“The Dayskipper Certificate covers all the rules of boating and now the students need to work on their practical skills. This has been a very positive start to the students’ year.”
