Year 11 student Samuel Brown has been selected for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Orchestra for 2015.

Students from all over New Zealand audition, and for 2015, 104 musicians have been chosen from 21 different locations around the country.

The orchestra will be working with one of Australia's leading conductors, Ben Northey, who is also the Christchurch Symphony's Chief Conductor.

An intensive week of rehearsals is scheduled for the 2015 April school holidays in Christchurch, and the programme includes performances such as Shostakoich's Festival Overture, Elgar's Cello Concerto and Saint-Saen's Organ Symphony.

The King's community wishes Samuel all the best with this fantastic achievement.
