Saint Kentigern College
10-0
Win
The Colts beat Saint Kentigern College on home-ground to reach the 2b finals, to be held this Saturday.
The team have worked hard to be accurate in set piece, defence and phase play over the last couple of weeks, putting them in good position to reach the finals. On Saturday, they achieved that goal.
Moghamad Smith scored an outstanding try after a dominant forward display lead by player of the day Jamie Kennelley.
Cam Mabin converted from our wide to give our team a 7-0 lead into half time.
After half time, we took control of the game with another penalty from Cam Mabin to lead 10-0 which remained the score till the end of the game.
Others to mention who had excellent games were Xela Pathan, Cam Mabin and Jack Lock.
We look forward to the final this weekend.

Our 6As traveled to Auckland Grammar School to play their semi-final and came up against an error-free, rampant Auckland Grammar School team on the day.
Auckland Grammar School were too strong to be resisted and we made too many unforced errors to have a realistic chance of causing an upset. King's 6A had a good run this year, but just couldn't find the final ingredient to turn a good season into a great season.
Too many disruptions to the playing personnel coupled with too many injuries left the team short of accomplishing their goals in the end.

Tries: Harrison Chadwick
The team lost their semi-final against a determined Glendowie College team. We scored first after relentless pressure by our forwards who gave space for Harrison Chadwick to score out wide.
Glendowie College scored twice from a strong kick and chase. All credit to their defense who had to soak up huge amounts of pressure from our forwards for large periods of the game. Sadly, it was not our day and the boys can hold the heads high for giving it everything.
