The team played three pool matches against Onehunga High School, Aorere College and Massey High School and came away with three wins. The full-time scores were 48-0, 49-0 and 47-7 respectively.
The boys played some outstanding rugby in the pool play matches. Defence was a real focus. Ben Morgan, Ajay Mua, Tom Morrison and Joe Johnston were all outstanding at the breakdown, creating turnovers to let the likes of Bailyn Sullivan and Jamie Spowart run free in open space.
Winning the pool play games, the team progressed to the semi-final where they went up against De La Salle College, winning 31-0. The final was a tough game against Mount Albert Grammar School, and unfortunately the team went down 0-31.
However, the Tournament was a success, regardless of the result of the final. The boys can take a lot of positives from the competition, and are looking forward to the South Island Tour at the end of term.
