Will Cashmore takes first place at Auckland Championships.
William Cashmore (Selwyn, Year 12), a King’s high performance athlete involved in our Elite Sports Mentoring programme, came in first place at the competition.
Other notable performances included Zac Limbrick-Jones (Major, Year 11) who came a close second place. Max Finnegan (Peart, Year 11) placed in 9th, whilst Will Brougham (Selwyn, Year 13) came in at 13th.
Year 13 Taylor House girls Bryony Manning and Georgie Simson also had an impressive day of Snow Sports with Manning coming in 15th place.
Teacher in charge Leah White says the team performed well despite the lack of snowboarders and slopestyle skiers in the King’s team.
“This weakness meant we were out of the race for overall team placement. However, the results at the Auckland Championships put the team in great spirits for the North Island Secondary School Champs in Term 3.”
